Igor Strelkov, the name of the Living Russian Myth

Alexander Dugin: Igor Strelkov, the name of the Living Russian Myth

We need to understand that the role of Igor Strelkov is crucial. This is a model of Russian idealist, conservative, a true patriot who has destroyed the gulf between the principles and actions; This abyss is the crippling scourge of our patriotism. When the Russians realized that deep in their values are ridiculed, their interests, sold, or that their government is under the control not of the best, but the most vile, well, what do they do? Droop, bleat, blame the intellectual elites (an example, Augustin Cochin), or drink, of course, and make small movements that the system quickly out of the way. Most fans throw themselves into fights, assaults, accompanied by senseless violence and sacrifice.

Some are corrupt opposition for technical purposes, others are controlled by the police and secret services. A vicious cycle. No one can focus on the real enemy, no specific your intentions, no one goes to the bottom of the matter, firmly and head held high. After all, they are young guys to sacrifice, Russian nationalists, National-Bolsheviks, or "Partisans of the Far East", who died in the fighting or end up in jail so senseless. Things that do not involve anyone. The Russians continue their dreams everyday. Others wasted decades on issues senseless to get noticed. A vision pathetic.
It is in this context that Strelkov appeared. Russian. Austere. Naive and shy. An idealist. With principles. In times of peace, probably not necessary and, in some ways, awkwardly. So he drives the front lines of a People's War (Narod-in Russian, German Volk-in). On his own initiative. And so, he breaks the chains of powerlessness, dispelling the fog of fear, despair and dell'avvilimento the inability to transform ideals into action. It had stopped in Crimea or had been killed in the first days of the defense of Slavyansk, we would not have learned anything about him.

It was then that the great personalities have fallen: they were heroes too, like him, other Russians, who have pierced the mists of darkness. Some of them were my friends. But Strelkov has withstood everything and has created an army. It has become the focal point to which we address our hopes, our will, and our changes. The others are no less impressive, brave, and slightly awkward as all Russians, but it is Strelkov who has achieved something in our soul, that touched our national sentiment.

It is the Russian Myth that shines on him, our desire to recognize a hero. He was simply doing his duty. Yes., But not the duty of a professional or a man who has established himself in difficult circumstances because of fate. This is HIS duty. This is a duty RUSSO, which has more apathy, fear, indifference, and apprehension. This is the real heart of the matter: Strelkov did everything BY ITSELF. This is what matters: he was himself. And through him we approach OURSELVES. We have seen what we are really capable of. Even the soldiers who fought in Afghanistan and Chechnya were heroic. But there they went to their own will.

They brought along a different kind of duty, which answers to the name of the state. Strelkov, however, fulfills a duty called Idea. The Russian Idea. He has broken down the barriers in our mind. He emancipated. Strelkov has adjusted something inside of us, it has healed. We thought that it was no longer possible: a warrior Russian Orthodox fearless leader of a Holy War to his own will. But he did it. And he began to win. And at every triumph, every report from the front line, we were to be winners. Russia triumphed.
It is not a matter of political beliefs, and even merits as a military commander. It is something much deeper. It has become our myth. It no longer belongs to himself, military service, or to the State, but only to this myth - the myth that Russian once was, and as we have seen, might even be at all times.
The hatred of Strelkov is a race towards the enemy, not in the biological sense, but spiritual. The breed of technocrats, along with bureaucrats, manipulators, and merchants. Werner Sombart used to say that there are two kinds of people: the race of merchants and that of the heroes.

The Europe of Modernity is the result of the triumph of merchants (capitalism) on the race of heroes (the Middle Ages). Strelkov is the Russian Middle Ages. After all, Orthodoxy itself can not be "modern" would be a travesty, a sham. It could be Ancient or Medieval. "Modernity" is the heritage of the Antichrist. Thus, Strelkov comes from what once was. Not that which was, and which is now no longer, but rather what it really was, and still is, as the core of our souls, as an arcane fulcrum Russian identity.
Now we need to fully understand what it means Strelkov for us. But that kind of anger that he inspires in all spirits cruel, that kind of envy that empty characters feel toward him, the hatred that leads to the West and the Junta, all this points to the fact that he is not the result of chance it is not something accidental. Once again, not as a person on an individual level, but as the bearer of the Russian character. A real Russian understands everything about Strelkov. He is us. A Narod (Volk).   Narod that is awakening.
I would really ask anyone who listens to my words to deal with this personality gently. He is our cultural legacy of enormous value. This is the reason why so many want him dead, they want to get rid of him, and minimize what is volgarizzarlo, and then hit it and sink it more and more. If we allow this, then we are worthless.
You must defend the Myths, the way Strelkov fought and still fights for Novorussia, the Great Russia, and for each of us.
May Christ be with you always, Igor ...
